Amsterdam based group EXP is the power trio (three-piece rock band) of guitarist/singer Karst van Oosten. Apart from their original songs, EXP plays a tribute to The Jimi Hendrix Experience (EXP plays Hendrix), complemented by a 60s/70s rock set (EXP plays 60s/70s rock & RnB) of songs by a.o. The Doors, Cream, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Thin Lizzy and Stevie Ray Vaughn. Expect intense rock, raw and soulful, freely played, with keen eye for detail and the mojo up high.

EXP plays Hendrix
It's more than 45 years since Jimi Hendrix' untimely passing at age 27, but the music that his band The Jimi Hendrix Experience left us is still very much alive. EXP plays a special tribute to the legacy of Jimi, bass player Noel Redding and drummer Mitch Mitchell and blast out all of their classic hits like Hey Joe,Purple Haze, Wind Cries Mary, Foxey Lady, All Along the Watchtower, Wild Thing, Voodoo Chile, Little Wing and Fire, but also some of their lesser known gems such as Spanish Castle Magic, Castles made of Sand, Freedom and Angel.

Fundamental to a Hendrix tribute is of course a great guitarist. And EXP have a true guitar hero in the ranks. Karst van Oosten brings the legendary Hendrix-catalog back to life, with the right amount of both musicality and showmanship. Though very much underrated and underestimated is the contribution of The Experience's legendary drummer Mitch Mitchell and his bass players Noel Redding and Billy Cox. EXP is explicitly not just a tribute to Jimi's guitar playing but to the great songs, arrangements and groovy playing of the rhythm section of The Experience. So expect non-male, non-guitarists in the audience to be dancing.

EXP plays Classic Hard Rock Classics by a.o. The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Cream, Earl King, Buddy Guy, Bob Dylan, Deep Purple, Thin Lizzy, SRV, Lenny Kravitz, Otis Redding soulfully played in a three-piece line up.

EXP (original songs) Original material with above named bands as main influences though also artists and bands like Prince, Lenny Kravitz, Black Crowes and AC/DC.
